Blogs,blogs and more blogs

Hello, my name is Rheagan and I'm a blogaholic.

I love blogs, Mom blogs, Sports blogs, Fashion Blogs, Foodie Blogs, my friends blogs, I love them all. I literally wake up at 5:00 am, go to the gym, come home shower, get ready for the day and by 7:15 I am on my couch laptop open, reading my daily blogs.

I get so excited when my favorites have new posts.  I aspire to be as awesome a blogger as some of my favorites. I literally try at least one recipe a week that I saw on a blog.  My favorite food blog is mixandmatchmama.blogspot.com tonight we are trying her "slow cooker beef stroganoff. I let you know how it turns out and if you want to try it out for yourself. Here is the link to the recipe. I must say that it smells amazing in my house right now.

I am also obsessed with a fashion blogger that I learned of through Mix and Match Mamma's blog.  It's pinteresttoldmeto.blogspot.com/ I love it.  I only wish I had as many clothes as she must to be able to put these outfits together like she does.  She is witty and always posts really great items, where you can get them, and also where you can get the cheaper version that looks just as great.

These are just two of my favorites.  I could go on and on.  It is my hope in 2013 (I have several news years resolutions, thats another post) but it is my hope this year to blog more.  I may even have a side business in mind that starts with a blog.  More on that later.

And since no post would be complete with a mention of my family, Grace & Grayson are great.  They had a wonderful Christmas.  I'll talk about that my next post.  That could even be tomorrow.

A new way of thinking....for me at least.

Family Photos 2011

Hey everyone.  It's been way to long since my last blog.  These kids are keeping us busy and we love it!!!

As I see all the post on facebook with pictures and comments about everyone starting kindergarten and school in general I see a lot my friends BABIES that are starting school and it has my head spinning, and I realize that in one short year it will be us.  It will be our BABY starting Kindergarten.  The tears are welling up as I type.  This same realization has got me thinking....about a new way of thinking.

Most you of you know me well, and know that I am going 100 mph all the time (thanks to my mother who always did when I was a kid and still does now) we are always on the go.  To dance class, to swim class, to kindermusick, to a birthday party, out of town on vacation or visiting family. It seems like we are never still, and my brain, on my goodness, my brain it's always going. Thinking of whats next.  Adding on to our house, buying a bigger house, which is better, what do we really want, where my heart wants us to be, where God wants us to be (don't worry, we aren't leaving our neighborhood, whatever we do must be done in University Terrace, on Bennington Drive for that matter).  We are always thinking about our next vacation or party or holiday.  I could go on and on.

I think these are all natural thoughts, and we all plan and think about our future and about our kids futures. I think we find ourselves with all these plans, and things we are looking forward to and the days just fly by until they get here.  We can't wait for Halloween to see the kids all dressed up and cute, then the Holiday season comes and goes then we are waiting for Spring Break, and the end of the preschool year.  Summer vacations come and are quickly gone and before we know it, summer is over and school is starting again.  The years are flying by, or shall I say I am "planning them by".

Well I am here to tell you now, that today starts a new way of thinking for Rheagan Dickson.  Today marks the start of the last year before our sweet baby Grace starts kindergarten and I am going to enjoy every last second of it. Don't get me wrong I am looking forward to enjoying all these things with my family but in a little different way.  Relaxed and hopefully stress free.  Savoring every single second and living in the moment with Owen, Grace, Grayson and our family and friends. Something that I think a lot of us don't always do.

So as preschool, dance, swimming and music starts, and the holidays come and go, I am going to try and it may be a struggle for me, because I am a planner and dreamer to a fault, but I am going to try very hard to cherish this year and soak up all the love and joy it has to offer.  Watching as my babies grow and change everyday, hoping that everyday is better than the one before.

I wish the very same for all of you all and your sweet babies and families.

Love to all,
Rheagan

Getting so BIG!!

Grace & Grayson are getting so big.  Grayson can now sit up in the grocery cart which he loves.  Grace can't decided if she like to ride the the car on the front the the cart or sit next to baby brother so she does a little of both.

They both love to go to the grocery store and usually are both really good while we are there.  I cannot believe that Grace will be 3 in a month and Grayson is already 8 months.  Time is flying by and we are loving every second we have with these precious babies!

A beautiful weekend on Bennington Drive

We had the most beautiful weather this weekend, Owen, the kids and I spent almost the entire weekend in our yard playing and having picnics.
Friday night Owen took Grace, Grayson & I to dinner at Fuzzy's.  Before Grayson was born, Daddy took Grace & I out to dinner for a date every Friday night.  Grayson helps Daddy take Mommy & Sister out now.  I love that my kids love to be out and about and that they are always really good in restaurants.  Saturday morning we had breakfast and went right outside and started playing.  My Mom was coming from Mt. Pleasant bringing Grace a surprise.....
A BARBIE JEEP!!!  She loves it, but gets her driving skills from her Mommy....she s awful! haha!  She will soon learn though, but for now we run along side her and help her steer.  She usually is looking everywhere except the direction she is going.  It's so cute to see her and her little friends in it.
Thank you Cathy, Katie & Sam for giving it to us!  We love Sam's hand-me-down toys!!
Grace and I had a picnic lunch next to her Jeep on Saturday, and after Grayson woke up from him nap we went to the grocery store.  Daddy met us up there and shopped with us which is always a treat. That night Grace's friend Evellyn came over to play and try out the Barbie Jeep. They had such a great time playing, I love that Grace has two little girls her age on our street to play with.  So fun.  Daddy grilled steaks and fish for dinner that was super yummy.
Sunday Nana came back over to play and have a picnic with Grace.  Aunt Carren & Uncle Zach joined us.  It was a blast.  After lunch we headed to our neighborhood park to play.
Daddy cooked dinner on his smoker and G.G. & Grandpa joined us for dinner.
Somehow in all the fun I also managed to get in 3 great runs and a clean house.  It helps that Owen has turned into super husband/daddy lately, he is amazing!
Hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend also and enjoyed the beautiful weather.  Here's to hoping the weather stays this great!

Grayson's new trick!

Grayson can sit up!!!  Can't believe how quickly he is growing up.  He will be 7 months next week.  It has flown by.  He is such a precious addition to our family and Grace is the best Big Sister ever....just ask her! haha!  So proud of them both and cherish every second of everyday!  So lucky that God  chose Owen and I to be their Mommy & Daddy!!

A great man gone to soon

9 years ago today the world lost a wonderful man.  He was a awesome cousin and friend.  The most amazing athlete and with the help of the great people a the University of Miami, he became quite the student, which he was so proud of.
I would give anything for my kids to know him and for him to get the chance to love them as he did our family.  He was so protective and loving.  He was taken from us to soon, but in the short time he was here with is, he touched so many lives and we are all better for having known him.
In the years he was at the University of Miami, I remember our late night cross country phone calls.  He really loved being there.  Zach, Carren & I spent most Saturdays of those 4 years in front of the TV cheering him and the Hurricanes to victory!  We were so proud of him!  He played strong side linebacker, and now he is on the lords strong side, still keeping and eye on us!
Love you Christopher Jamel, miss you everyday!  Happy 32nd birthday next Tuesday!!

Cousin Slumber Party

The kids and I went to Mt.Pleasant this past weekend, Grace and her cousins Maggie and McKala had a slumber party at Nana/Aunt Pam's house.  They had such a good time.  It was cute to hear them talk and play.  I love they Grace and Maggie are so close in age (2 months apart) and will get to share things in the lives.  McKala was so sweet to come and help, being that it was Maggie's first time to stay at Aunt Pam's.  I pray that they will always be close and someday when they are older like their Mommy's that they will become best friends like Kisha and I have.  I cherish that so much!
Kisha took some pictures of the girls as we were leaving their house.  You can tell they are very excited about their slumber party!
